Congratulations to our FJHS All Region Band Students!

Congratulations Isabella, Jose, Yovanni, Zamir, Brycen, Travis, Sonja, Valeria, Holden, Gavin, Oscar, Bryan, Zackary, Game, Fresnillo, Juan and Cooper!

The Farmersville Band achieved tremendous individual success at the recent ATSSB (Association of Texas Small School Bands) Region 24 tryouts.

On December 4, the road to the All-State Band began at the regional level at Anna High School. The competition
consisted of an audition of multiple prepared pieces of music in front of a judging panel of area directors,
against students from other bands in the North Texas region. 16 Farmersville High School students and seven Farmersville Junior High School students came away with a spot in one of two honor bands.

“This is the highest number of students who made the All Region Bands that I can remember ever having here at FISD," said FISD Fine Arts Director, Scott Cross.  "I attribute the success to a lot of hard work on the part of the students, as well as the work of the directors and private lesson teachers who guided the students and helped hone their skills for this competition. I am very appreciative of all the efforts of our directors and lesson teachers, as well as our FISD administration who helped get the private lesson program started. The level of musicianship is definitely on the rise in Farmersville ISD!”

The qualifying students will attend a two-day clinic on Friday, January 12 - Saturday, January 13, at Anna ISD, concluding with concert performances on Saturday, January 13. The concerts will begin at 4:00pm and are FREE to the public.
