Dean Johnson, Assistant Principal
Hello Farmers,
Entering my second year as assistant principal at Farmersville Junior High School and 10th overall, I am excited to be a part of the Farmersville community this school year. My first year of teaching was at Olney High School where I taught Geometry and Algebra 2. After one year in Olney, I accepted a coaching and teaching position at Pottsboro High School. I was at Pottsboro High School for 5 years where I taught Algebra 2 and was an assistant football, power-lifting, and track and field coach. Then I spent two years at Gunter High School in the advanced math department focusing on Pre-Cal and AP Calculus along with a few administrative duties before I became the assistant principal at FJHS.
My wife, Katy, is a Physical Therapist in Plano, and together we have one daughter, Wittley. In our spare time we love traveling, going to the lake, hunting, fishing, and more importantly rooting for the Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys! My family and I are excited to work with our students, teachers, and community to have an enjoyable and successful school year.
