Dean Johnson, Assistant Principal
As the new assistant principal at Farmersville Junior High School, I am excited to be a part of the Farmersville community this school year. This will be my 9th year in education, all in Texas, and my first year as a full time administrator. My first year of teaching was in at Olney High School where I taught Geometry and Algebra 2. After one year in Olney, I accepted a coaching and teaching position at Pottsboro High School. I was at Pottsboro High School for 5 years where I taught Algebra 2 and was an assistant football, power-lifting, and track and field coach. The past two years I have been teaching at Gunter High School in the advanced math department focusing on Pre-Cal and AP Calculus along with a few administrative duties.
My wife, Katy, is a Physical Therapist in Plano, and together we have one daughter, Wittley. In our spare time we love traveling, going to the lake, hunting, fishing, and more importantly rooting for the Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys! My family and I are excited about this school year and getting to know the students and families of Farmersville.
Live Kind. Growth for All.
